Open unit pageBenefits of My Physics Tutoring
Physics becomes easier when the ideas, equations, diagrams, and problem-solving steps all connect. My sessions are designed to help students understand what is happening, why it is happening, and how to choose the right method on quizzes, homework, labs, and exams.
Step-by-Step Explanations
Every problem is broken into readable steps: identify knowns and unknowns, draw the diagram, choose the right principle, set up the equation, solve carefully, and check the answer with units and common sense.
Customized Lessons
Lessons are built around the student's current class, textbook, teacher expectations, confidence level, and upcoming deadlines. We can slow down for foundations or move quickly into challenge problems.
Assignment & Exam Support
Students receive support with homework questions, quiz corrections, test preparation, lab calculations, graphs, data analysis, and written explanations so they can submit work with more confidence.
Flexible Sessions
Sessions can be scheduled around school, activities, and exam dates. Online tutoring works well for screen sharing, digital whiteboards, calculator support, and reviewing uploaded assignments.
AP & College Physics
Support is available for regular physics, honors physics, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, introductory college physics, algebra-based physics, and calculus-based topics when needed.
Progress You Can See
Each student gets practical feedback on strengths, weak spots, recurring mistakes, and next steps. The goal is not just finishing assignments, but building independence over time.
Mastering Physics Concepts
Physics tutoring covers the major skills students need most: translating word problems, understanding formulas, drawing free-body diagrams, applying conservation laws, interpreting graphs, and explaining answers clearly.
How Each Session Works
Every tutoring session is practical, organized, and focused on what will help the student perform better in class.
1. Quick Check-In
We begin by reviewing what the student is currently learning, what assignment or test is coming up, and where they feel stuck. This makes the session targeted instead of generic.
2. Concept Review
Before solving problems, we review the main idea in plain language. Students learn what the formula means, when to use it, what each variable represents, and how the concept appears in real physical situations.
3. Guided Problem Solving
We work through example problems together. I model the reasoning first, then gradually ask the student to take over more steps so they can build confidence and independence.
4. Error Correction
Many students lose points because of small patterns: missing units, sign errors, unclear diagrams, skipped algebra steps, or choosing the wrong equation. We identify those patterns and build habits to avoid them.
5. Practice and Review
Students leave with a clearer understanding of what to practice next. When needed, I can help organize a study plan for upcoming quizzes, chapter tests, midterms, finals, or AP exams.
